In the morning, we begin our day with visit of Jerash, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the Middle East. The colonnaded street, the Hadrian’s Gate and the two Roman theatres are the major sites you will discover there and then we drive to Um Qais on a plateau overlooking the north Jordan Valley and the glinting blue waters of Lake Tiberias are the ruins of Um Qais, ancient Roman Gadara. West of the Dead Sea and along the Kingsway, is the mosaic-filled city of Madaba. Crowned by a small church, this historic town lies in the middle of Jordan’s most fertile land. The finest mosaic found to date is still in its original place on the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Situated 10 kilometres west of Madaba, overlooking the Jordan Valley is Mount Nebo, one of the alleged sites of the tomb of Moses.

 

Travel along the Kingsway, a historic route connecting Ammon (Amman) to Petra. Stop at Dana Village, located within the Dana Biosphere Reserve, Jordan’s largest nature reserve. This area is known for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from Mediterranean to desert landscapes, and offers stunning views of the Great Rift Valley. Take a brief photo stop to capture the breathtaking scenery.Proceed to Shobak Castle, also known as Montreal, a Crusader fortress built in 1115 by Baldwin I of Jerusalem. Explore its ruins and learn about its strategic importance during the Crusades. Continue to Wadi Mousa. Overnight in Petra.

The most spectacular site today, is the Dead Sea, which at 400 meters below sea level is the lowest body of water on earth… Because the salt content is eight times that of most world’s oceans, you can float in the Dead Sea without even trying.
